Bio

Yolanda Prinsloo was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and received her B.A. in Fine Art and Education while studying with internationally renowned artist Paul Emsley from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. Her work is in collections in the U.S., Australia, Norway, and England. Prinsloo has participated in notable exhibitions including, Olympic Truce-Pieces for Peace in Washington, D.C.; Celebrate Freedom at the Civil Rights Museum, Memphis, Tennessee; and Beijing Plus 5 Symposium, City University of New York. In 1998, she was commissioned to paint a portrait of then South African President Nelson Mandela for the South African embassy in Washington, D.C.
